Consultation has concluded

At its November 2023 Ordinary meeting, Council resolved to adopt the updated Backyard Burning Policy.

The reviewed Backyard Burning Policy provides guidelines to minimise and prevent air pollution from air borne particulates and chemicals, and eliminate localised nuisance caused by smoke and odour generated by backyard burning.

The draft policy will be publicly exhibited for an extended period in addition to the required 28 days.
