Ballina Shire Council is proposing to enter into a licence agreement for occupation of part of the land known as Kingsford Smith Reserve which is on land classified as ‘community’ land under the Crown Land Management Act 2016 and Local Government Act 1993 (‘the Act’).

Tenant: Ballina Seagulls Football Club Incorporated

Location: Part of Kingsford Smith Reserve (Reserve 82164) being Lot 153 DP1098090, 2B Bentinck Street Ballina as outlined in black edging on the adjacent map

Purpose: Sporting, recreational activities and storage (Note: This is a proposed new licence to the existing occupant)

Licence Term: 12 month licence

As the land is classified as Community Land, in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act, interested persons are invited to make a submission in writing with respect to the granting of the proposed licence.

Where a submission is an objection, the grounds of objection must be specified. All submissions, including any personal information, will become publicly available and will be made available to the applicant and interested members of the public. Submissions may be included in Council’s business paper and provided to the Minister for Local Government.

Submissions may be made in writing to Ballina Shire Council, PO Box 450, Ballina NSW 2478, by email to council@ballina.nsw.gov.au or online by completing the form below under Make a Submission.

Submissions close: 4.30pm on Friday 17 July 2026
