At its November 2025 Ordinary meeting, Council resolved to adopt the updated Biodiversity - Compensatory Habitats and Offsets Policy.

This policy aims to promote the protection, retention, and restoration of biodiversity assets in Ballina Shire.

The draft policy will be publicly exhibited for 28 days.
