PROPOSAL: RE-ADVERTISED - Stock holding yard comprising use of existing stock holding pens and cattle entry ramp, erection of shade structures above the existing stock holding pens and ancillary stormwater management works and the installation of a vegetation buffer along the northern boundary.
The stock holding yard will be used to hold horses, between 20-30 for each respective event and will be dispersed over the 31 stock holding pens. Holding of horses will occur during daytime hours only.
The excavated levelled area within the north eastern corner of the site is proposed to be used as a warm up area for horses ready to compete in the show ring. In addition, the levelled area will continue to be used by the Alstonville Pony Club.
This development application comprises “nominated integrated development” for the purposes of Section 4.46 under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 as it requires a Controlled Activity Approval from the Department of Planning and Environment – Water under Section 91 – Water Management Act 2000.

Any person may make a submission in writing to Council. Where a submission is by way of objection the grounds of objection must be specified in the submission. They may also be included in Council’s business paper. If you do not wish your submission to be publicly available you must provide Council with written reasons for this. Alternatively, you may wish to provide an anonymous submission. However, anonymous submissions may be given less (or no) weight in the overall consideration of the proposal.
This development application may be reported to Council for determination at one of its Council Meetings.
