At its October 2026 Ordinary meeting, Council resolved to adopt the updated Donations - Waste Disposal Fees for Not-for-Profit Groups (operating second hand shops) Policy.

The objectives of this policy is to provide clear policy guidelines to assist not-for-profit community groups that operate second hand shops in applying for exemptions from waste disposal fees at the Ballina Waste Management Centre.

The draft policy will be publicly exhibited for 28 days.
