At its June 2025 Ordinary meeting, Council resolved to adopt the updated Festivals and Events Support Program Policy.

This updated policy combines the former Festivals and Events Sponsorship (Commercial) and (Community) Policies.

Ballina Shire Council values the importance of local festivals that aim to showcase the rich cultural diversity and history of our local community, while delivering economic, social and environmental benefits to the Shire.

The draft policy will be publicly exhibited for 28 days.
