Consultation has concluded
Missingham Park is a popular park located at the junction of the Richmond River and North Creek with views out through the seaway. This versatile open space has a wide range of unique natural and functional features that include; native trees and vegetation, connection to foreshore walkways, public toilets, parking, event stage and amphitheatre, BBQ and picnic shelters, drinking fountains, playground equipment, shade structures and skate park.
Council is preparing to upgrade the playground at Missingham Park. Consultation on the upgrade of this playground commenced with public exhibition of the Kingsford Smith Reserve Master Plan that identified that the site will include a regional level playground with junior/toddler and senior/older children playground areas.
As a first stage, upgrade of the playground located under the existing shelter was identified in Councils Delivery Program and Operational Plan. The upgrade of this playground area will form the junior or toddlers playground of the master plan and part of ongoing upgrades to develop a regional level playground at Missingham Park in accordance with the Playground Upgrade and Management Plan.
