At its February 2026 Ordinary meeting, Council resolved to adopt the updated Climate Change Policy.

This policy aims to identify and form Council’s approach to working collaboratively with community, agencies, industry, businesses, and all levels of government to seek and advocate for local, regional, state, and national climate change mitigation and adaptation solutions that are informed by the current knowledge and best available science.

The draft policy will be publicly exhibited for 28 days.
