Ballina Shire Council is proposing to enter into a lease agreement for occupation of part of the land known as Wigmore Hall, 26 Swift Street Ballina, which is on land classified as community land under the Local Government Act 1993 (‘the Act’).


Tenant: Ballina Shire Concert Band Incorporated (Y2245533)

Location of Property: Part of Wigmore Hall located at 26 Swift Street Ballina and an external storage shed (part of Lot 70 in DP1005100) as outlined in black on the map)

Purpose: Concert Band Hall (for part of the Wigmore Hall area) and storage for the concert band (for the storage

Ballina Shire Council is proposing to enter into a lease agreement for occupation of part of the land known as Wigmore Hall, 26 Swift Street Ballina, which is on land classified as community land under the Local Government Act 1993 (‘the Act’).

Purpose: Concert Band Hall (for part of the Wigmore Hall area) and storage for the concert band (for the storage shed area) - (Note: This is a proposed new lease to the existing tenant for the existing purpose)

Term: Four (4) year lease


As the land is classified as Community Land, in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act, interested persons are invited to make a submission in writing with respect to the granting of the proposed lease.

Where a submission is an objection, the grounds of objection must be specified. All submissions, including any personal information, will become publicly available and will be made available to the applicant and interested members of the public. Submissions may be included in Council’s business paper and provided to the Minister for Local Government.
