Ballina Shire Council is proposing to enter into a lease agreement for occupation of part of the land known as Captain Cook Park and RSL Memorial Park Reserve which is on land classified as ‘community’ land under the Crown Land Management Act 2016 and Local Government Act 1993 (‘the Act’).

Purpose: Community Hall (Note: This is a proposed new lease to an existing occupant)
Lease Term: Three (3) year lease
As the land is classified as Community Land, in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act, interested persons are invited to make a submission in writing with respect to the granting of the proposed lease.
Where a submission is an objection, the grounds of objection must be specified. All submissions, including any personal information, will become publicly available and will be made available to the applicant and interested members of the public. Submissions may be included in Council’s business paper and provided to the Minister for Local Government.
