Proposed Licence of Community Land - The Ballina Community Gardens Inc

Ballina Shire Council is proposing to enter into the following Licence Agreement for land which is classified under the Local Government Act 1993 (“the Act”) as ‘community’ land. The details are as follows:

Tenant: The Ballina Community Gardens Inc

Location of Property: Part Lot 4 DP 1153430 – Canal Road, Ballina

Purpose: Operation and management of a community garden

Term: Four (4) year licence

(Note: This is a proposed new licence to an existing tenant)

As the land is classified as Community Land, in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act, interested persons are invited to make a submission in writing with respect to the granting of the licence.

Where a submission is an objection, the grounds of objection must be specified. All submissions, including any personal information, will become publicly available and will be made available to the applicant and interested members of the public. Submissions may be included in Council’s business paper and provided to the Minister for Local Government.
