Proposed relocation of Ballina Devils Archers to Ferngrove Park

Ballina Shire Council is seeking community feedback regarding a potential future relocation of the Ballina Devils Archers Club from Saunders Oval to Ferngrove Park.

The proposal is being explored as part of broader planning for sport and recreation facilities across the Shire. Identifying a new location for the club was highlighted as a priority action within the Sport and Recreation Facilities Plan 2020, due to increasing demand and usage pressures at Saunders Oval.

The proposed relocation would involve temporary infrastructure and managed use of a portion of Ferngrove Park for scheduled archery activities on Sunday mornings. Any future use of the site would operate under strict safety requirements and aim to minimise impacts on the surrounding park environment and existing recreational use.

Council is sharing this information to invite feedback from residents, park users and other stakeholders. Community input will help inform Council’s ongoing assessment and any future decision-making regarding the proposal.
