Ballina Shire Council is proposing to enter into a lease agreement for occupation of part of the land known as Regatta Reserve which is on land classified as ‘community’ land under the Crown Land Management Act 2016 and the Local Government Act 1993 (‘the Act’).


Tenant: Richmond-Tweed Family History Society Inc

Location of Property: Part of Regatta Reserve being part of Lot 502 DP 729388 (Maritime Museum Building) (2-10 Regatta Avenue Ballina)

Purpose: Family history research centre and associated activities. (Note: This is a proposed new lease to the existing occupant).

Term: Three (3) year lease

As the land is classified as Community Land, in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act, interested persons are invited to make a submission in writing with respect to the granting of the proposed lease.

Where a submission is an objection, the grounds of objection must be specified. All submissions, including any personal information, will become publicly available. and will be made available to the applicant and interested members of the public. Submissions may be included in Council’s business paper and provided to the Minister for Local Government.
