BSCPP 22/006

Council is proposing to rezone Council-owned land at Gap Road, Alstonville, containing the disused Tuckombil Quarry.

Quarrying ceased at this site in 2016 and Council has now resolved to apply a commercial zoning to the land to facilitate its use for film, arts, high technology, recreational and community purposes. An asphalt processing facility occupies part of the site, with the lease for that use finishing in 2024. The asphalt plant will be decommissioned and removed from the site at the end of the lease.

A Planning Proposal and supporting documents have been prepared to describe and assess the proposed rezoning.
