Consultation has concluded

UPDATE

Ballina Council resolved at the September 25 ordinary meeting to exhibit changes to the Plan of Management (PoM) for Community Land.

The draft PoM was on exhibition from October 8 – November 19.

No submissions were received.

In accordance with the Council resolution, the revised PoM for Community Land is now adopted and the Hampton Park PoM (2002) is repealed as this land is now incorporated into the Community Lands PoM.

Ballina Council resolved at its September 25 meeting to make a series of minor amendments to its Plan of Management for Community Land.

The amendments are detailed within the attached report to Council.

It accordance with requirements under the Local Government Act 1993 and Crown Land management Act 2016, Council is now seeking submissions on the revised Plan of Management.

Council is now seeking feedback on the proposed amendments.

Persons making a submission may need to disclose political donations/gifts provided to a Councillor or Council employee. Significant penalties apply for non-disclosure. Any person may make a submission in writing to Council. Where a submission is by way of objection the grounds of objection must be specified in the submission. All submissions, including any personal information contained therein, will become publicly available documents and will be made available to the applicant and any other interested members of the public. They may also be included in Council’s business paper. If you do not wish your submission to be publicly available you must provide Council with written reasons for this. Alternatively, you may wish to provide an anonymous submission. However, anonymous submissions may be given less (or no) weight in the overall consideration of the proposal.

A report of submissions received will be reported back to Council for consideration.
