Proposed Lease of Community Land - Wardell and District Tennis Club Incorporated

Ballina Shire Council is proposing to enter into a lease agreement for occupation of part of the land known as Fitzroy Park, Wardell, which is on land classified as community land under the Local Government Act 1993 (‘the Act’).

Tenant: Wardell and District Tennis Club Incorporated

Location of Property: Part of Fitzroy Park, Wardell, being the Wardell tennis court complex on part of 32 Bridge Drive Wardell (part of Lot 18 DP 1129974 as outlined in black on the below plan)

Purpose: Sports amenities building and two synthetic multi-sports courts (Note: This is a proposed new lease to the existing occupant)

Term: Four (4) year lease

As the land is classified as Community Land, in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act, interested persons are invited to make a submission in writing with respect to the granting of the proposed lease.

Where a submission is an objection, the grounds of objection must be specified. All submissions, including any personal information, will become publicly available and will be made available to the applicant and interested members of the public. Submissions may be included in Council’s business paper and provided to the Minister for Local Government.
